Grace Gent

Hi, I’m Grace!
Art has always been a part of my life, some of my earliest memories are of turning the garden into my “own personal canvas” (much to my mum’s dismay). Growing up, I was often told that art wasn’t a “real career path,” so I chose to study Film and Television at university—a field I also love. But I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was drifting away from my true passion, so I picked up my paintbrushes again.

Three years later, I’ve completed my degree and feel so lucky to now be working full-time in what truly feels like my dream job. I’m still refining my style, but right now I’m fascinated by the idea of “things existing where they shouldn’t.” I love blending natural beauty with playful or unexpected elements, like rubber ducks, to spark fresh ideas, perspectives, and emotions.

My work is inspired by a range of incredible artists: the humor of Mars Black, the vibrant colors of Erin Hanson, the unique perspectives of Hannah Luen, the raw emotion of Haley Greco, and the intricate details of Victoria Rose Park. If you haven’t seen their work, I highly recommend checking them out!

Thank you so much to everyone who supports and enjoys my art, it truly means the world to me. 💛
